MYI Announces the opening of tenth office and the recruitment of a specialist Casualty team

LONDON (December 2008) - Leading international loss adjuster, MYI Limited, announces the opening of a tenth office in Croydon to coincide with the recruitment of a specialist casualty team, which will be based there.

David Fillingham LLB (Hons) Law, FCII, FCILA, Graham Staples ACII, ACILA and Jon Evans join, bringing with them considerable UK casualty experience with a particular focus on the transportation, utilities, local authority and contractors’ markets.

MYI commenced the expansion of its UK operation two years ago and having previously operated from London, opened offices in Glasgow, Newcastle, Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol, Solent and Belfast.  Most recently, it announced the opening of an office in Cheltenham in response to demand from the local market.

Commenting on the recruitment of the team, Vern Chalfant, CEO and Chairman of McLarens Young International Ltd.said: “The acquisition of these individuals demonstrates the appetite that we have for growth in the UK and the appeal of our business model.  The team, led by David, are highly respected in the market and enhance our existing casualty offering by adding a different, specialist dimension.

The opening of our Croydon office not only allows us to develop the strong relationships that we have in this key local market, but more generally, enhances our coverage in the South Thames corridor.

Since we commenced our programme of expansion, we have experienced sustained growth and are now recognised as one of the market leaders in the provision of niche, bespoke loss adjusting services both in the UK and globally.  We continue to seek opportunities to expand the business and have further high profile recruitment in the pipeline.”
