Entered loss adjusting with a leading international company in 1984 and after completion of the CILA exams in 1989, progressed to dealing with large commercial and domestic losses including business interruption, and was a member of Major Crime and Transit Division. In December 1987 assisted for five weeks as manager of a temporary office in Puerto Rico following Hurricane Hugo, controlling losses up to USD 4 million. In 1992 assisted in opening a new office in Birmingham, England and was later appointed Area Manager for the East Midlands controlling three offices. In June 1996, joined another international adjusting office in Bangkok, Thailand. Two years later moved to join McLarens (Thailand) Ltd. Robert is a Thai citizen and has an excellent understanding of both written and spoken Thai.
